The content here will be guided by my experience and interests in construction and design, the lessons I have learned the hard way and of course, good ol' fashioned research. You will eventually read from my friends, pros and associates as well. Construction is a team sport and we are only as good as the people we surround ourselves with. Knowing where to go and who to talk to in a time of need is crucial for anyone. I hope this place can become an escape for those of you looking for ideas, problem-solving and general knowledge in construction, design and business. I promise I will keep it light hearted and entertaining. I also hope to learn from all of you! Who are We?

This blog is run and operated by the author ( who for some reason is referring to himself in third person) and of course all of you! The good people on the internet. My interest in architecture and design stems from my college days where I studied exactly that. But don't get me wrong, I am a "construction guy" through and through. I switched to the "dark side" during my professional days and have been in the construction world for the past 10 years. The designer in me often comes through and I have a soft spot for quality architecture and engineering. At the same time, I am quite proud of my handy man skills learned through experience, research and possibly most of all, my dad. I am the owner of a small construction firm in Houston, Texas which has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. I have been through many ups and downs and I look forward to sharing my experiences with all of you to hopefully help you learn from my mistakes and victories alike.
